JoSAA 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Joint Seat Allocation Authority, commonly known as JoSAA, is the result of the collaboration of JAB (Joint Allocation Board) and CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board). The main purpose of this collaboration is to provide a common platform to all the engineering aspirants to apply to India’s best engineering colleges or institutes.

Now in this article, we provide JOSAA Eligibility Criteria related full details. JOSAA Authority already announced the Scheduled in this year counseling and Eligibility Criteria that are needed for participating in the seat allocation at IIITs, NITs, IITs and ISM Dhanbad.

All interested candidates must pass the JEE advanced 2018 (that is scheduled to be held on 10th JUNE 2018) for all the academic programs at ISM Dhanbad and IITs for preparatory courses.


Only JEE main 2017 paper 2 rank holder or Class 12th pass with Math’s Eligible for the applying JOsaa 2018-19. Candidates have 50% marks in an aggregate, no matter which category with Maths.


The candidate should have secured a rank in JEE Main 2018 Paper 1 (B.Tech/B.E.). The candidates need to secure 45% (in the case of general category) and 40% (in the case of OBC- NCL, ST, PWD, ST category). Including these Subjects.

Any one subject from Chemistry, Biology, technical vocational subject or Biotechnology



Any one language

Any other fifth subject.

JoSAA 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  1. The candidates must satisfy the following JoSAA eligibility criteria to take admission through JoSAA 2018.
  2. Candidates must have qualified the JEE (Advanced) 2018 for academic programmes at IITs and ISM and must satisfy the performance in class 12th (or equivalent) examination.
  3. Candidates must have qualified the JEE advance 2018 for preparatory courses at IITs and ISM and must stratify the performance in 12th
  4. Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility to appear for the counselling for B.E or B.Tech programme. Candidates must obtain at least 45% for general categories or 40% for reserved categories in each subject.
  5. A candidate has to satisfy the following eligibility to apply for counselling for the Architecture programe.
